Why C7

Why C7

When I was a kid, there was a tire swing in the playground of my elementary school. Next to the tire swing was a utility pole marked C7. That marking was right at the spot where you'd swing high enough to be horizontal and defy gravity and feel weightless.

It was a rite of passage to "make it to C7". C7 Psychiatry and Hormonal Health is built on that same philosophy ...

the idea that discomfort, effort, and even a little fear are often the precursor to somewhere higher.Growth rarely happens in the comfortable middle; real change asks us to reach past where we currently stand.

What to expect

A clear path
through care.

Your care begins with time to understand the full picture, followed by ongoing visits shaped around your goals and response to treatment.

01

Initial evaluation

We will meet in person or online for a 90- to 120-minute comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. This is an open, supportive conversation about your symptoms, health history, experiences, and what you want for the future.

From that conversation, we will develop a personalized treatment plan. Depending on your needs, it may include psychiatric medication, hormone therapy, psychotherapy, lab work, or other non-pharmacologic interventions.

02

Follow-up care

At follow-up visits, we will review what is working, what has changed, and what may need adjustment. That can include medication, lab work, symptoms, side effects, and other therapeutic interventions.

Visits may range from weekly to every two or three months depending on the complexity and stability of your treatment. As things become more settled, appointments can generally be spaced farther apart.

Between visits: questions or concerns can be addressed through email or secure messaging within one to three business days.

Meet your clinician

Washington
native

I am a Washington native with a love of all things PNW; if it involves mountains, water, or moss, I probably love it.

By trade, I am a nurse with graduate education that allows me to prescribe medication as part of treatment. I have worked with patients living with trauma, substance use, ADHD, depression, anxiety, sleep disturbances, and intense hormonal shifts. I was selected as a peer-to-peer support team member, I started Harborview Medical Center’s Gender Affirming Surgery Nurse Education program, I initiated quality improvements in nursing communication throughout the UW system, and I have acted as the nurse liaison to the Acute Pain Service. I look forward to bringing all of this accumulated knowledge, experience, and evidence-based practice to our work together.

Our first visit is an open and supportive conversation that informs me about your history and your desires for the future. With that, we will develop a treatment plan which may include conventional psychiatric medication, hormone therapy and/or non-pharmacologic interventions. We will continue assessing your goals and progress at follow-up visits.

You may be having feelings or there may be parts of your story that you typically don’t talk about…you do not need to edit with me. We will hold your whole story with grace.
